Congratulations on making a commitment to your loved one. This is a perfect time to have a few therapy sessions together, to help reduce the stress of the coming event(s) and to alleviate problems down the road.  The focus of pre-marital/commitment counseling is to understand, on a deeper level, who you and your partner are, why you respond in the ways that you do and what you each can do to make the other and the relationship better and more secure.

Karen utilizes the PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy) modality, based upon attachment theory, arousal regulation and developmental neuroscience. Karen combines the latest relationship research with ancient ways of knowing what it means to be a human in relationship.

Our first session will be 3 hours, with subsequent sessions 1.5 to 2 hours, based upon your needs.

By learning to take care of each other now, you can create a long term relationship that is kind, loving and secure functioning, through all of the ups and downs.
